Vijayawada: As part of promoting energy conservation and energy efficiency in Andhra Pradesh, the AP State Energy Conservation Mission (APSECM) will present State Energy Conservation Awards (SECA) to industries and organisations that made significant performance in energy conservation and energy efficiency for the third consecutive year on the occasion of National Energy Conservation (EC) week celebrated from December 14 to 20.
APSECM has appealed to all stakeholders including government departments, public and private organisations and electricity consumers to actively participate in National Energy Conservation Week-2022 and come forward to contribute towards energy conservation and adopt an energy efficient lifestyle. The State government wants to create massive awareness on the importance of energy efficiency among the general public, government departments and the private sector. Energy efficiency helps to reduce energy demand, promotes energy security, economic development, lowers the expenditure on energy and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Energy efficiency is one of the better solutions to meet the future rising energy demand and would also help to achieve the State government objective of cost-effective power.
